It is the reason why your surgeon should be much more than just a capable surgical technician, he must be an artist as well. Dr. Leis is just that rare surgeon, with decades of experience creating beauty, all the while helping his patients feel a lot better about themselves.

Suction Assisted Lipectomy

WHY: This type of surgery permits the removal of fat through tiny inconspicuous incisions. It is not a substitute for weight reduction or a cure for generalized obesity. Liposuction is primarily for people who are near or at normal weight but bothered by the presence of diet and exercise-resistant localized deposits of fat. The most common areas are under the chin, the waist, hips, thighs, abdomen, knees, ankles, and flanks, as well as enlarged breasts in males. In overweight individuals improved results are obtained with both weight loss and liposuction.

ABOUT: This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Small incisions are made in natural folds or inconspicuous places near the fat deposits. A suction cannula is introduced, the fat is suctioned out, and the area contoured.

RECUPERATION & HEALING: The patient goes home wearing a compression garment which is worn for 1 to 2 days to assist the natural shrinking and tightening of the skin. Initial discomfort is easily controlled with mild oral medication. Most bruising and swelling subsides within 2 to 3 weeks. Although one can immediately see improvement, the final result is obtained after several months.

RESULTS: You will immediately see the reduction of the areas of fatty protrusion and improvement in contour and proportions, resulting in a more flattering figure or physique in or out of clothing. Note that small surface irregularities -commonly known as cellulite- are not eliminated by the procedure.

WHY: This procedure is done to eliminate or tighten loose skin and the underlying muscles, as well as flatten the abdomen resulting from weight loss, lack of exercise, pregnancies, or aging. This procedure can also reduce or eliminate scars on the lower abdomen as well as abdominal hernias. Medical insurance may cover the procedure if it is done to correct a medical issue.

ABOUT: The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia on an outpatient or inpatient basis depending on the surgeon's recommendations. A horizontal curved incision is made beneath the underwear line extending from hipbone to hipbone. The abdominal muscles are tightened and excess skin and fat are removed. The umbilicus is repositioned on the new abdominal contour.

RECUPERATION & HEALING: The patient goes home or can remain overnight with the abdomen bandaged and wearing a protective compression garment. Discomfort is usually not severe, can be present for 1 to 2 weeks and is controllable with medication. Sutures and drains, if present, are removed in about 1 week at which time light activities may be resumed; resumption of full activities usually after three weeks. The scar matures and fades over six to twelve months and is hidden beneath underwear or bathing suit (a "bikini" incision).

RESULTS: Patients will enjoy a flatter, tighter and more shapely abdomen.

WHY: This procedure is for those desirous of adding tone, projection, and fullness to the buttocks.

ABOUT: Some of the advantages of the Brazilian Butt Lift procedure, leading to its growth in popularity, are:

  • it is less invasive than implant surgery
  • less complicated surgery to perform and usually less expensive
  • requires shorter recovery time
  • usually provides more natural-looking and attractive results

The amount of buttock augmentation possible is directly related to the amount of excess fat available for transplantation. During your consultation, we will determine whether you have sufficient body fat to use for transplantation to the buttocks.

RECUPERATION & HEALING: We perform prosthetic (implant) buttock augementation when there is not sufficient fat available for transplantation. With either technique, the patient goes home the same day as the procedure. Discomfort is usually not severe, can be present for 1 to 2 weeks and is easily controlled with medication. Sutures are removed in 7 to 10 days at which time light activity may be resumed; resumption of full activity after two weeks.

RESULTS: Firm, toned, fuller, and uplifted buttocks that are typically very natural looking and realistic.”

WHY: There are a number of reasons why women decide to have vaginoplasty and/or labiaplasty. Vaginoplasty tightens the vaginal canal and muscles which have stretched during childbirth. Labiaplasty is done for aesthetic reasons, to eliminate enlarged or sagging labia, as well as for comfort. Women elect to have this surgery because labia can be too long, uneven, asymmetric, droopy, bulky, discolored, and for other reasons. Excessively large or drooping labia can sometimes cause discomfort during intercourse, physical activity, sports, or even while sitting; which labiaplasty can alleviate.

ABOUT: Vaginoplasty and labiaplasty are also referred to as vaginal rejuvenation. They are surgical procedures that reconstruct the vagina and labia for structural or aesthetic purposes. Labiaplasty reconstructs the inner (labia minora) and outer (labia majora) vulvar lips.

RECUPERATION & HEALING: These procedures are performed on an outpatient basis under local or general anesthesia, have very low incidence of complications and patients usually enjoy a quick recovery, returning to work in 7 to 10 days, and to other physical activity such as exercise in 2 weeks.

RESULTS: Enhanced appearance, tone and tightness to the area and alleviation of discomfort. Patients often enjoy heightened sexual experience resulting from the surgery.
